IMVASA

Your first 30 days

A week by week plan for anyone starting SEO from scratch: fix the foundations, choose your keywords, improve your pages and start earning links.

How to use this plan

Each week has a goal, the tools to use and a short list of tasks. Most weeks need three to five hours. The plan uses fewer than 100 credits in total, so a single $10 purchase (500 credits) covers it with plenty to spare.

Before you start, set up two free tools from the search engines themselves: Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. They show your real clicks and impressions and tell you about indexing problems. IMVASA complements them with audits, research and competitor data they do not have.

Week 1: fix the foundations

Goal: make sure search engines and AI crawlers can find, read and index your site.

  1. Run the site audit on your homepage and your three most important pages.
  2. Fix anything that blocks indexing first: noindex tags, robots.txt blocks, wrong canonicals. See Fix common issues.
  3. Make sure you have a sitemap, listed in robots.txt and submitted in Search Console.
  4. Give every important page a unique title tag and meta description.
  5. Check that the site loads over HTTPS and works on a phone.

You are done when your key pages have no Critical issues and Search Console shows them as indexed.

Week 2: choose what to rank for

Goal: a short, realistic list of keywords, each assigned to a page.

  1. Load your site in the dashboard and note what you already rank for.
  2. Open Rankings and write down your striking-distance keywords, positions 11 to 20.
  3. Run Keyword research for your two or three main topics. Keep keywords with difficulty you can handle and intent that matches a page you have or can make.
  4. Run What People Ask on your main topic to collect real questions.
  5. Run Competitors, then Content gap against two of them.
  6. Put your picks in a simple sheet: keyword, volume, difficulty, the page that will target it.

You are done when you have 10 to 20 keywords, each mapped to one page, and no two pages target the same keyword.

Week 3: improve and create pages

Goal: better pages for the keywords you chose.

  1. Start with striking-distance pages. Improve the title, answer the main question in the first two sentences, fill the gaps competitors cover, and update the date.
  2. Write one or two new pages for your best new keywords. Use the questions from week 2 as headings.
  3. Link to each improved or new page from two or three related pages on your site.
  4. Add structured data with the schema generator, and an llms.txt.
  5. Re-run the audit on each page you changed.

You are done when every page on your list has been improved or created, audited and linked internally.

Week 4: start measuring and earning links

Goal: a baseline to measure against, and your first link outreach.

  1. Add your keywords to Rank tracking and run the first check. This is your baseline.
  2. Check AI visibility to see whether AI crawlers can read you and whether ChatGPT mentions you.
  3. Run link intersect against two competitors. Pick ten relevant sites and send short, personal emails explaining why your page is useful to their readers.
  4. If you serve customers locally, claim and complete your Google Business Profile. See Local and Maps.

You are done when you have a ranking baseline, an AI visibility baseline and ten outreach emails sent.

After day 30: a monthly routine

  • Weekly: check tracked keywords. Look at what moved and why.
  • Monthly: re-audit your top pages, refresh one or two older pages, write one or two new ones, and send a handful of outreach emails.
  • Quarterly: repeat the keyword and content gap research, and check AI share of voice against your competitors.

Tip: Expect the first clear results after two to three months, sooner for technical fixes and striking-distance pages. Consistency beats bursts of effort.
