IMVASA

Rank tracking

Follow your Google positions for the keywords that matter, see what moved, and spot pages that are close to page one.

Two ways to see rankings

IMVASA gives you two views of your positions, and they answer different questions:

ViewWhat it showsBest for
RankingsEvery keyword your domain ranks for, from the domain overview, grouped by positionSeeing the big picture and finding striking-distance keywords
Tracked KeywordsPositions for keywords you choose, checked live on Google whenever you askFollowing specific keywords over time

Use Rankings to discover which keywords to track. Use Tracked Keywords to follow them.

Rankings: the big picture

Rankings groups your keywords into bands: top 3, positions 4 to 10, striking distance (11 to 20), 21 to 50 and 51 to 100.

Striking distance deserves the most attention. Those pages already rank on page two, so Google considers them relevant. A better title, a more complete answer, a few internal links or a fresh update often moves them onto page one, where the clicks are.

Tracked Keywords: follow what matters

Add keywords

  1. Load your domain and choose the country in the dashboard's top bar.
  2. Open Tracked Keywords and press Add keywords.
  3. Paste keywords, one per line or separated by commas, up to 50 at a time.
  4. Choose desktop or mobile, and press Track.

Each keyword is tracked for one country and one device. Track the same keyword on mobile too if most of your visitors use phones. You can track up to 200 keywords per domain.

Check positions

Press Check now. IMVASA searches Google live for each keyword and records where your domain appears in the top 100. A run covers up to 100 keywords and takes a few seconds per keyword. If you track more than 100, run it again for the rest.

Checks only run when you press the button or ask your AI assistant, so you decide when to spend credits.

Read the table

ColumnWhat it means

The summary above the table counts your keywords in the top 3, on page 1 and in striking distance, and how many improved or declined since the last check.

Which keywords to track

Track keywords you would act on:

  • the main keyword for each important page,
  • your striking-distance keywords from Rankings,
  • a few competitive keywords that show whether your overall work is paying off,
  • your brand name, to make sure you own it.

Five to fifty well chosen keywords tell you more than five hundred random ones.

How often to check

Weekly is right for most sites. Positions wobble from day to day for reasons that have nothing to do with you, and daily checks mostly measure noise. Check more often only around a launch, a redesign or a big content update.

When rankings drop

  1. Check more than one keyword. If only one keyword dropped, look at that page and at who replaced you, with the SERP checker.
  2. If many dropped at once, run the site audit on the affected pages, looking for a noindex tag, a robots.txt change or a broken canonical.
  3. Consider a Google update. Broad drops across many sites often follow core updates. Improve quality rather than chasing a single cause.

The Diagnose a traffic drop playbook covers this step by step.

Removing keywords

Removing a keyword deletes its history too, and that cannot be undone. If you might want the history later, keep the keyword and simply stop checking it.

Cost

Adding and removing keywords and viewing saved history are free. Each check uses about 2 credits per keyword checked. Tracking 20 keywords and checking them weekly uses about 160 credits a month.

From your AI assistant

  • rank_tracker_list reads your tracked keywords and history, including the page that ranks for each. Free.
  • rank_tracker_add and rank_tracker_remove manage the list. Free.
  • rank_tracker_check checks live positions, optionally only for the keywords you name.

Try: "Check my tracked keywords for brewlab.coffee and tell me which ones moved into or out of the top 10 since last week."
