Content gap
List the keywords your competitors rank for and you do not, so you can see exactly which proven topics you are missing.
What it shows
Content gap compares your site with up to 4 competitors and merges their rankings into one list. For every keyword you see each site's position, the search volume and the difficulty, and a bucket:
| Bucket | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Missing | Competitors rank, you do not | New content opportunities |
| Weak | You rank, but a competitor ranks higher | Improve or expand your existing page |
| Strong | You rank above the competitors | Protect it: keep the page fresh |
Where to find it: Content Gap in the dashboard, or content_gap in your AI assistant.
How to use it
- Load your domain in the dashboard.
- Add one to four competitor domains. Pick sites from Competitors that are similar to you.
- Run the comparison and start with the Missing tab.
Prioritising the gaps
Not every gap is worth closing. Sort and filter for keywords that:
- more than one competitor ranks for, which proves the topic works in your market,
- have a difficulty you can handle,
- match what you sell or know,
- have enough volume or commercial value to matter.
Then group related keywords into topics and plan one page per topic. The Weak tab is often the quickest win: you already have a page, and a better title, more complete content or a few internal links can move it up.
Cost
About 4 credits per competitor compared, up to 4 competitors.
