IMVASA

FAQ and troubleshooting

Answers to the questions people ask most about IMVASA's data, audits, accounts, credits and AI assistants.

About the data

Where does the data come from?

Audits, Lighthouse tests, live search results and rank checks are run live, at the moment you ask. Keyword volumes, rankings, backlinks and AI answer data come from established search data providers that collect them continuously across the web. IMVASA combines them, explains them and saves your results.

Why are the numbers different from Google Search Console?

Search Console shows real clicks and impressions for your own site, measured by Google. IMVASA estimates traffic for any site from its rankings, how often each keyword is searched and how many clicks each position usually gets. Estimates are what make competitor research possible, but for your own site, Search Console is the ground truth. Use IMVASA for comparisons, trends and research.

How fresh is the data?

Live tools are as fresh as it gets. Research data is refreshed continuously by the data providers, though very new pages and links can take a few weeks to appear. Results you load are saved and shown with their date; loading them again within 24 hours reuses the saved copy for free.

Which countries are supported?

More than 90. Choose one in the dashboard's top bar, or ask your assistant to call list_locations. Keyword and ranking data differ by country, so always pick the country of your customers.

About audits

Is the audit really free?

Yes, with no account and no limit. It is how most people discover IMVASA, and it stays free.

Why did my audit fail?

The most common reasons: the site blocks automated visitors with a firewall, the page needs a login, the address has a typo, or the server took too long to respond. The error message says which. Try again, or audit a different page on the same site.

Why does my score change between audits?

Some checks depend on live conditions, such as server speed at that moment. Small changes of a point or two are normal. Big changes mean the page changed.

Are reports public?

Yes. Every report has a share link that anyone can open, which makes it easy to send to a developer or client. Do not audit addresses that are themselves confidential.

Can I audit a whole site?

Each audit covers one page in depth plus site-wide files. Turn on Deep audit to also crawl up to 8 pages from your sitemap for internal links, orphan pages and duplicate titles. For a full picture, audit your most important pages one by one.

About accounts and credits

Do I need a subscription?

No. There is no plan to cancel. You buy credits in any amount from $10 and pay only for research you run. Credits last one year from purchase, so there is nothing to renew. See Credits and pricing.

What happens when my credits run out?

Research and tracking tools pause. Audits, generators, projects, topic clusters and your saved results keep working. Top-ups are coming soon.

Can I see what I spent?

Yes. Credits in the dashboard shows your balance and recent usage, lookup by lookup. Your assistant can see the same with account_credits.

Is there a usage limit?

Up to 30 paid lookups per hour per account. The limit protects the service from runaway scripts; normal use never reaches it.

About AI assistants

Is it safe to connect my assistant?

Yes. API keys only work for your IMVASA account, and you can revoke them at any time in API Access, where you can also remove assistants you signed in to. Treat keys like passwords: anyone with one can spend your credits.

Why does my assistant say it needs an API key?

The tool it tried uses your account. Add your key to the assistant's settings, or connect with sign-in. See Connect your assistant.

My assistant's numbers look different from the dashboard. Why?

Check the country: tools default to the United States when no country is given. Also check the date: a saved result may be older than a fresh one. Ask the assistant to name the country and whether the result was cached.
